good bankroll management

i know that good bankroll management is important. does anyone else out there sit at cash tables with more than 5-7% of their roll? Or the same with tournament buy-ins, whats the max. percentage of your BR you'll put up to buy in to a tournament? :joyman:

When I used to deposit and play at the higher limit tables, I would only use around 3% of my bankroll per tournament. I had around 320$ and played at the 11$ no limit tournaments and the 25/50 cent tables. Now, i have been sticking to freerolls and then with the money i win, play in smaller amount tournaments and small penny tables. Bank roll management is important.

for tournaments, its suggested i guess not to use more than 3% of your bankroll. Hasn't really been the case for me, its tempting to buy in to higher stakes games. With a $200 bankroll i play .02/.05 2-3 tables. I usually buy in with 3 dollars at a table. I think thats safe bankroll management. Sometimes when i get on tilt though, i don't really follow the rules.

i would say generally 5% max in sngs an cash games but 2% in mtts is good bankroll management check out chris fergusons bankroll chalenge on full tilt for more bankroll management rules they have really helped me.

about 5/10 percent but some times i go 50% on a table just for the simple reason more fun and a higher table ie 1/2 2/4 only now and agen tho dont reli do it that often i have played some 50 sngs with 6 ppl in them played 2 in a row and won both loved it hehe
