Hello community just passing to share with you a poker movie that I watched I few days ago.

Molly's Game is a 2017 American biographical crime drama film

It focuses on the life of Molly Bloom, a world-class skier who became a millionaire before the age of 21. After missing the Olympics, Molly moved to live in Los Angeles, where she even worked as a waitress. Thanks to her intelligence and entrepreneurial skills, the young woman ended up earning millions of dollars in the world of poker before the FBI investigated her.

For some reason, i didn't really like the movie. Because there was little about the poker itself. I like 2 very old films more:

1.) "Cincinnati Kid"

2.) "A Big Hand for the Little Lady"

Yes. You're right. It's not completely about poker. More like Molly's life. I like that it's a biographical story. And that it is related to the real life of poker. Thanks for the movie titles. I haven't seen them yet. I'm going to look for them.

I searched for many Poker/gambling movies, and really loved the thought of watching a poker movie.
The movie "Molly's Game" is exactly how you described it. I have to agree on that.

From the few I watched some seemed boring or childish to me and wasn't what I was expecting (real poker plays and thoughts). Like "21", "Runner-Runner", "Win It All"... etc (You can search on google for poker or gambling movies and choose what you like from its plot).

But I want to share the movie "The Card Counter", I heard of it from the PokerStars twitch channel commentator. Haven't watched yet, but saw the trailer and seemed good for a try.

Besides movies, poker documentaries are available in a way more than movies with a story. Some documentaries talk about specific type of game and its timeline or a personality and how they managed to gamble money and some have advices.

Thanks man for contribution of the titles. I'll find it. 🤘

I know about the Molly's game movie after watch the real Hollywood history behind, whats it's real life. There's involved a lot of Hollywood personalities and real people.

I watched a very good review on YouTube where it is the entire real history. And for sure it's much better than the movie perhaps.

'The Story of the biggest game in Hollywood'

I think it's time that a film series like "The Queen's Gambit" is made, but on the subject of poker and of course a protagonist who climbs from the bottom to the top. That would be really interesting.

"Rounders" is basic cinema, I liked it a lot, and "Lucky You" is also quite good, but one of my biggest favorites is "Maverick".

Rounders was the best poker movie I've ever seen( https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0128442/?ref_=m_ttls_tt_1 ), also if you are a fan of biography movies - The Stu Ungar Story was a really interesting movie to watch too ( https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0338467/?ref_=m_ttls_tt_10 ).
I just watched the Stu Ungar based movie. My thoughts. I feel very sad about him. I think The characters was very good selection. And is a good example for everyone... Well I don't want to spoiler. Thanks for share was a very good contribution.

Man I watched the trailer for 'A Big Hand for the Little Lady' first I thought it was a bored movie from the sixties. But. Nothing on that. I liked very much. I'll have to watch. The performances looks super fine. I'll tell you later.

I especially liked the ending of the movie.
But for me, the "Cincinnati Kid" is more interesting! :)

Wow. I finished the movie right now. What an unspected end of movie. I really like it. It is a very good movie. Now I need a 'Rubi' hahah. Maybe like a totem.
I go for the other 'cincinaty Kid' 🤘
