Wow, this is the first I've heard of this but I imagine it will turn out to be a disappointment...more of a publicity gimmick than anything else (read: I'll be glued to the website watching this).

So there's probably millions of dollars being gambled by the fighters' close friends alone. There's a decent chance that the fight will be fixed and someone will go down first round (and make $2M while at it) and I can see it being gus lol.

First of all, I love GUS, he is a great poker player and i like to watch him play either in cash games or tourneys but BOXING??? HE SHOULD have thought about it TWICE.. I watched the fight today and he sucked real bad... He cant fight and i`m pretty sure he would get his ass kicked by almost any1 on the street... Boxing wise, it looked like he does not know what boxing is.. He had no stance and didnt even know how to JAB.. it was pretty bad... Sucks i was thinking the man would know what he is suppose to do.. GUS i hope you stick to POKER....

Ok, so I watched this yesterday on gushansentv.com...... I must say, wow! The first match lasted all of one sloppy hit and a funny animated fall to the ground. It was pretty much downhill from there.
Not to mention all of the fighters SUCKED, but where in the hell did they find those music artist..... if that is even what you would call them! I'm not sure what was worst. Watching the boxing matches, or the performers in between the matches!

Gus and Theo's match was alright, however imo Gus came out way to aggressive. I was afraid that he was going to get knocked out, due to his aggressiveness. Overall, a great match, unfortunately the judges didn't think that Gus did enough.

Gus, into the ring, can't wait to see the video of that. Hope they make it a good fight and last at least a couple of rounds.
I'd have to put my money on Theo, I just can't see Gus winning any kind of physical challenge...least a few rounds.

I was not aware that ole Gussy could fight or did fight.

I do not want to see that.

I know Guss as playing on the velvet and that's it.

I'm really not interested in seeing him fight.

That's why I watch the UFC.

I watch poker to see poker players. If he's fighting on another show I don't care.

That's my opinion.

Is Phil in the fight ? I'll watch it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is really impressive is that a bunch of people actually turned out to see this circus event!!!

The fight itself was quite embarrassing. I would think that if you are going to get into a boxing match at least take a few private lessons and learn some basics. Footwork and jabs would be a great place to start. I took Muay Thai boxing for several years at the request of my dad. That stuff works, one of my brothers was picking on me and I gave him a round house kick to this thigh and dropped him like a rock. I was prancing around going "it worked..it worked..it worked'

Hahahahha, I think it's a hoax also. I could not find any further information on it, not that I looked very hard though. I'd think i'd see if in poker magazines if it were real.
