Are you talking about preflop or after the flop? Preflop, I would not fold AA unless on a satellite bubble. KK is almost the same, but I have folded it against super nits. Both are strong hands preflop and crush so many hands that its so -EV to fold preflop.

On the flop its different and depends on preflop action, board, opponents, flop action, etc. I have laid down AA/KK on very scary boards before.

I would call here. Your strategy should be winning the tournament, not just placing ITM. This is a huge chance to knock 5 players out, pick up a huge pot, and be in better position to do well. Even against 5 opponents, AA still has a slight edge.

Preflop Question when you have KK or QQ and a raise before you

Ok, I have had the worst luck with preflop KK or QQ.....and Dont even get me started on JJ...Anyway...This is my question.

So you are on a blind (small or big) and there is a raise before you....You know RARELY they will have a bigger pocket pair. What do you do?

A) Call

B) Raise

C) Raise All-In

D) Fold

I am curious on what you should do vs Buy In .....I know in anything around $1 buy in people just will go all in with A-?? and usually flop an Ace against me.

The main reason Im asking is because I just had Pocket K's and preflop There was a Raise from 20 to 220 so I reraised to 540 and then he went all in and I called and he had AQ off and flopped an Ace so I got knocked out EARLY...very early even for me.

So Pretty much Im curious if I made the right move or should I have just called to see a flop and then played the flop.

Any advice is helpful. Thanks

First off the amount of the buy in should have no effect on your play. A .10 buy in should be played the same as a $10,000 wsop buy in. Poker is NOT about money, its about winning, about out smarting, and ending the tournament in 1st place.
The only time money should be a factor is around the bubble, IMO.
To answer your question, you should reraise. Don't let someone see if they catch, if they are going to play, they have to pay
