Hard to fold

I have noticed that for people who have pocket AA or KK it's very hard for them to fold. They always think it's a winning combination. I have won with pocket AA 30%. Bad luck. But I fold many times now

yea i agree people over play any type of top pair J's throught A's and think by betting pot everytime they will win but usually when four cards to a straight i really see people rarely fold A's or any top pair because they feel its always going to win no matter what

I think it is a lot to do with the fact that some people just wait around the whole game for the aces or kings, so when they do get them, no matter what is on the board they feel that they've waited so long they can't fold now. Than again, that's just my oppinion.

I am not to fond of a/a or k/k always seem to cost me more than I have won. but then again I prefer playing 6 to 9 pocket pairs anyday.

honestly I have lost with those two combinations many times, so honestly I have come to the conclusion that there is really no better hand, its all about what comes out on the table.

I am one of the people who has a hard time folding, but I usually know when I have been beat. How do you develop the discipline to lay them down? I know when I have KK and someone comes over the top of me big time that they are advertising AA. I have laid them down face up once or twice but it is the hardest thing to do preflop. It's easy once the board makes straightens or flushes possible, though.

i think its goodto make a value bet with them and I almost never go all in because of what someone else can have.

you shouldnt have move than 2 callers with AA or KK so raise till they fold

and yeah AA is the winning hand for sure if u know how to play it imo

Did you say 30%? How long have you been playing? That's not just bad luck. You're doing something wrong there. Are you raising pre flop? Are folding to any bet on the flop?

basically what I do when I got premium hand like AA & KK, then I am all in right away or heavy bet.
And win almost everytime with them.

It depends how you play your pocket aces. If you play them wrong you might have to fold, because you gave your opponents a chance to beat you. Otherwise its just a matter of keeping your hand up after the flop. If you raised big enough then its just a matter of how caught a set but besides that you should be good more then 50% of the times.

if you dont bet substantially or go al in with a top premium pair then you are just asking to be beat by someone who is limped in with crapola cards and hits it lucky.

pockets top pair are good but you lose often with them. i prefer pocket 6 to 9 those cards shows more on the flop then the high cards so you hit more

The most dangerous hand for me is AK. ALWAYS HANG ON TO LONG WITH THEM. ANYONE ELSE DO THIS.

I donked away AA vs a preflop raise then a call after my re-raise just yesterday. I put the guy on JJ-KK. Flop was rainbow with a Q in the middle. I came out with a half the pot bet, and he calls, he did this straight to the river. I check after the river card and he bets me all In, I call he flips over pocket QQ for trips. He had me beat at the flop. I should have folded his bet on the river after my check. I knew he had me beat when he kept calling me, and really knew when he bet me all in after my check on the river. No friggin clue why I called, and it was a serious donk move on my part. I've folded aces before, no clue why I couldn't do it then. My only excuse is that he played a lot of pots with crap (VP$IP over 45), and had been caught bluffing on more than one occasion with nothing but high card.

Pocket 6's-9's have no more of a chance to show on a flop than pocket JJ's-AA's. (Same range, 4 hands, and no pocket pair has a greater chance than any other pocket pair of flopping a set.)

The chance to flop a set with any pocket pair is around 11%. Maybe it is 12%, I can't remeber at the moment.

If someone goes all in and I have aces for the flop, you won't see me folding aces lol.... If you don't like to get beat by weak hands go all in or raise big! If you have won 30% with aces you are doing something wrong I quess.

If you are loosing more with AA that you are winning, you are not playing them right. STOP TRYING TO TRAP. With AA you want a HU situation. Push and Push Hard preflop. If you are still loosing with them in HU more than you are winning you may want to consider playing Hearts instead

i have folded AA before, but never before the flop. i sometimes will try and slow play but as most say it is better to raise big pre-flop to try and get heads up. but if i am slow playing, i have no problem folding if i think i am beat after the flop. i think you need that mentality if you are going to slow play them.

Ive folded AA preflop before, yeah im crazy, sometimes you have to fold them if theres like 5 donkeys ahead of u all in and your close to the money, just gotta keep your stratergy from the get go of the tourny or game and you'll do fine

I have never folded pocket aces pre-flop. Nor will I ever! I don't think I'd ever lay down pocket K's either, and would have oe heck of a time laying down pocket Q's pre-flop.
