Have you ever been staked before?

I have heard about being staked by other backers but how do those of you that are backed find a staker? I am just curious because I think this might be the best route for me.

I'm not sure it's good for most people. Takes a special kind of patience and mentality that I doubt most of us have.

i think your best chance of getting staked is playing solid poker and showing others that your capable of winning them money. most people who get staked are capable of beating lower limits regularly but want a shot at the bigger stakes.

There are quite a few online staking sites. You can get a stake but it is going to be a lot easier to get staked if you have good stats to begin with otherwise people aren't going to want to put their money up on you. Part time poker is a good one

I have never been staked up front but I have sold shares in tourneys where I have qualified from lower buy ins. This is quite common in the circle I am in. e.g. winning an entry into a $100 buy in tourney and selling 10% shares for $5 dollars etc etc.
