I've played under the influence before
at first it was a great time, played great and had lots of fun. However after that one beer, the one you know your drunk, my decision making and focus was basically gone. In conclusion, I still enjoy a few drinks sometimes when I play, but I only hope on the table for those 1 or 2 drinks than I stop. Responsible gambling was one of the toughest lessons to grasp, it's very easy to get out of control.

Of course. I don't recommend it for a style of play, but it can be fun if you're just playing w/friends, in some freeroll or small buy-in. It's just another way to enjoy the game without the serious intent of it all. I prefer PLO when I do get a little boozy.

I drink beer quite often while playing poker. But it is obvious that playing drunk, you have a much better chance of losing money than winning.

When I'm drunk I always lose, and my friend wins large sums on the turnover, because he starts to take more risks. Everything is individual, but in most cases it still leads to a loss.

I lost my bankroll several times while playing drunk. With experience, I realized that alcohol brings only loss and frustration. Now I never play drunk. And in general I drink very little and rarely.

I greet you buddy, I also had a recent experience of playing poker drunk and it also ended in a deplorable way for me, I lost part of the bankroll, of course I did not lose the whole bankroll, but this was a lesson for me so that I would never play drunk poker again! At first it was fun and my confidence was not limited, but then everything rolled into the abyss! I started playing poker 5 years ago. I have not drunk alcohol for almost 8 years. That's why I never played poker drunk. Alcohol is evil.
But still, I lost my bankroll several times while playing sober.

Yes, and it wan't that bad. Set a limit you're confort investing in buy-ins and you shouldn't have much worries.

No I would not bother even trying to play drunk. If I imagine myself drunk back in my younger years, I probably would just fall asleep playing poker. Does not make any sense for me

I once woke up with my head on the table, asked the chap next to me who these chips were, he said they were mine... I had no memory of any of the hands just that someone said 'let's go to the casino' after a night out.

Sometimes I also played drunk. But to be honest, the next day I regretted it in most cases. If I play drunk, my game is more like bingo than poker.

Been there - done that. I do not recommend it. Every time i played drunk i played suboptimal. If you try it at least do it in freeroll so you don't loose money.

I played a lot while having beers a few years back. I always did good in the beginning, but after the 5th or 6th beer, I inevitably get sloppy and you can guess what the outcome would be.
It's worth mentioning that I've won the $33 tourney (PS used to have) a few times while completely wasted.
Poker has become a serious business, it better not to be mixed with having fun, let alone with alcohol.
