Live or Online?

I never did live but online i have. One guy was mouthing me off for whatever reason I cannot remember, twas like 2 years ago. We were playing 1/2 blinds and i had nut flush and he went all in on river for 20-50 dollars. I waited the whole time ... called the clock ... asked him what he had ect. Right last couple seconds I called and had the ultimate NUTS and won. Needless to say he immediately left the room.

I would not slow roll anyone. And one power failure or internet failure with no disconnect protection would be what karma would have in store for me if I did I am sure. :)

I have many times, and plan to do the same in the future. I really like to slow roll if I hit my hand after the flop and get max value out of it. I think the best players to slow roll on are the ones that will call you all the way down with one small pair and think they have you beat. GL to all

I think the term "slowroll" refers to someone who has the absolute nuts and takes an inordinate amount of time to call a large bet on the river, rather than someone who hits the flop hard and then slows down to appear weak. The former is just outright rude and uncalled for, while the latter - baiting an opponent by slowing down on each street to appear indecisive - is part of the game.

No. I don't like to see when somebody make a slowroll and I don't do it by myself. It's bad! Poker must be fast as it possible.

Only to "big mouth" type of guys, find it to be a very effective way to shut them up.

I have so far not slow rolled. I have been slow rolled and it was invariably from assholes. I guess if some one is being a jerk, but just play good, and let the assholes be assholes. No need to mimic their style.....

The only time I would even think to do so would be if someone slowrolled me or something. SO its hard to answer, probably a couple times or zero, leaning towards a couple of times though.

You're confusing "slowroll" with "slowplay".

Slowroll = you are closing the action, the other player is all-in, you have the nuts, but rather than instantly calling the bet, you take your time and pretend you have a tough decision to make. This is considered disrespectful.

Slowplay = you have a strong hand and you are trying to extract value from your opponents. You pretend you have a weak hand to encourage your opponents to bet into you and/or call your bets. There is nothing disrespectful about this. It's a common strategy and is completely fair.

As for me, I have never slow rolled in live poker, but I have slow rolled players online multiple times. I won't just slow roll anyone, though. I won't slow roll players who are polite and respectful, nor will I do it when my internet connection is bad and I risk disconnecting at the last minute. I only do it to players who deserve it.

It's worth noting a certain example where people often accuse a player of slowrolling when actually that player is making a legitimate poker move.

Example: 3 players in a hand on the river. The first player to act goes all-in. The second player to act has the absolute nuts. You would think that if the player with the nuts doesn't call quickly, then he's slowrolling. But this is not so, because the player with the nuts isn't last to act. Therefore, that player's snap calling with the nuts may scare the third player yet to act from calling as well. It would behoove the player with the nuts to hem and haw about calling or at least not rush into calling in order to increase the likelihood that the third player calls. Anyone who accuses this player of slow rolling doesn't know poker.

I use both. And I do not see anything wrong. Play poker boring when you play a lot of time every day. It is necessary though somehow diversify the game, especially if this can go to my favor.
