it is discuss the deal,when you at the final table and is one of the top 3 or 4 players,it can be used,have you used it before?what all of you think about the function and when to use it is the best?

Only once- in a CC freeroll. We were down to 8 and the whole table was in-all but me. So I went ahead and agreed. If it had been a regular tourney I wouldn't have considered it.

Umm.. you wouldn't consider it in a reg. tourney? Why? Is it because you have a big edge HU?

I've used it quite a few times (as has my g/f). I think there's alot of times when you'd want to consider using the 'deal' feature.
sidenote... it's an awesome feature as you can go by ICM right there for ya..... OR you can adjust the numbers to who you'd like it to be. How can you beat that?

I've even used it for SNG play. Sometimes in a SNG (even an STT)... the bubble will go for a very long time & blinds GET HUGE!!! By the time you get to HeadsUP, when you're both on ~10bb (300/600, even 250/500), if you're both good players (ie. you have no edge.. villain isn't shoving too tight, etc.).. then a chop is cooll because it's a complete gamble then anyways. I'd be more apt to use it for larger field obviously, but was just giving an example of when I've considered using it even in an STT. (45plyr sng, blinds huge, close to even Stacks HeadsUP when it's shove/fold... I'd be happy to take $141.75 instead of goin' out on a badbeat with $112.... not all the time obv. BUT some of the time for sure).

In larger MTT's, the money can be significantly different between the top few spots & and a chop is always a good thing.... you can always leave some to play for (& sometimes you have to leave some to play for).

Yes I have used it.... I personally think its a good thing...for lots of reasons, if your bankroll is slim a chop can secure u some extra cash if you catch a bad beat or a cooler.. Or sometimes the blinds are so big that it becomes a shove fest... like in Ftops events...You can also use it to your advantage if an oppent (when heads up) has the chip lead but say "he will chop if things get close in stack size" you can play a little more aggresive to even the numbers knowing he will consider chop... HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Why didn't you use a more accurate title for this thread? Maybe you can still edit it.
Besides the validity of other members comments I'd like to see a video, if someone has posted on popular video sharing sites, where you can watch in real time motion how a deal is discussed and executed.

yes,i used it once in a $26 tourney it was H/A pl and i was heads up and a slight lead but my opponent was extremly good so i agreed...still got alot of cash ,didn't wanna gamble

Yes, I use it all the time. In sng's where the payout for a $5 is $22.50 for first and $13.50 for second that's like a 9 dollar heads up. I'll often split, and both take $18 home. It's a very nice option added by full tilt.

How long has full tilt had the discuss deal option? I've seen it but not when I was a top stack. When I have been a top stack, it did not enter my thought process, although since I am a micro stakes player for the most part, deals may not be worth it for most part. (I love the 1.10 90 man double stack sng at full tilt)

I just started playing again, but I think a "chop" option is very good idea, and glad they added that. I have chopped at final tables at live tournys and its done probably half the time live in AC.
One time I was like 60% to 20%, 20% at a final table, the other 2 guys asked for a chop at about those percentages and they take care of tip, I told them F that, guess who finished 3rd?

Oh, I'm glad people responded to this thread, cause I had no idea wtf the original poster said !

Try watching an MTT final table, buyin $50 & up & there'll be a good chance you'll see them make a deal. You'll also be able to 'view deal' as they're executing it (so you'll see the works... ICM Chop, CHip Chop, etc.).
It's rare you actually don't see them make a deal,... usually when one player has like $1mil+ in profits they don't tend to bother with it.

Hey mate, reference the use of making a deal. Yea, I have used it once and it was at HU during a RB $750 tourney. I was in the lead by several thousand chips and received the 1st place position. I was really tired at that point and feel like I may have lost the HU had I continued so when he asked about a deal, I reluctantly accepted. Yes, I feel it is a good option ... another tool in your poker bag.

well,thanks for you share your experance about that feature,i only try it one time,for i was the second of the final 3 players,we have almost the same chips and at last we are paid about the same dollars,of course,it is very reasonable to everyone,can i ask a strange question,it is that what the biggest number of the players who deal the paid is?? since you play poker online,for me ,i know it is only 5 players

in the online poker,what about you?

I don't understand it. It's about money, right? Or more correctly, it's about gambling? Hedging your bets? Is trying to maximize your profit about poker or is it more of an investing type of thing .. commodities dealing maybe. I never had any desire to "make a deal " with someone, because I'm busy. Go away - I'm in a tourney. Talk to me after I'm done. (Just trying to show a different point of view - it's what I do, but you all know that already, huh?)

I just tried to make a deal in a 90 man 1 dollar double stack sng at ft. I had fought my way back from the short stack to a decent playable stack with 4 players left. No one responded. It got down to heads up with me having about 85k out of 270k total. After a little while I take a small chip lead and again asked if he wanted to deal. He didnt respond Five hands later this happened.

Hero (BB): t170172 M = 48.62
BTN/SB: t99828 M = 28.52

Pre Flop: (t3500) Hero is BB with Qs 2s
BTN/SB raises to t5000, Hero calls t3000

Flop: (t10500) Kd 2d 9c (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN/SB checks

Turn: (t10500) Qc (2 players)
Hero bets t9000, BTN/SB raises to t18000, Hero raises to t164922 all in, BTN/SB calls t76578 all in

River: (t199656) 7s (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t199656
Hero shows Qs 2s (two pair, Queens and Twos)
BTN/SB shows Kh 8c (a pair of Kings)
Hero wins t199656

I think its a good feature but sometimes players arent observant enough to notice or dont look at the chat box when you're talking to them

It is about the money. Good poker players don't consider the game to be 'gambling'. If blinds are huge on final table with a few players left.. anything can happen. If we're trying to maximize our profit... why gamble it away when there's least skill involved? (unless you have an edge over a micro donk who's shoving way too tight, or playing passively, etc.).

It also affords you the option of to barter a bit on the deal (or.. alot). You can customize the deal for how you'd like it... not just based on ICM or ChipChop & you can leave some left to play for too. You can't beat it.

I just used it a half hour ago in a $11 180 man SNG, ended up heads up and chopped for $326 me/370~ him respectively. First would have paid him an extra 40 bucks and I would have had to take a 40 percent loss. It is a good way to minimize variance in turbo MTT's imo, but I wouldn't consider a deal with greater than 3 people.

Care to explain? Gambling feature to what?... the game of poker? This seems like a bit of a de-rail.

I think the comment above pretty much describes it best >> "It is a good way to minimize variance in turbo MTT's"
Along with this, it is good in most mtt's with a few players left in it, unless the stacks are still 'relatively' deep in relation to blinds (they usually aren't).
