Is anyone else as tickled as me about Phil Hellmuth getting smacked around on PAD? I don't know why, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.:icon_sant

No, he's OK, played alright, got beat. Overall he is up on PAD. Well OK, a bit fun to watch him get beat up by his peers, he was real quiet about it...

Oh I agree he played well and just got beat, but it still makes me laugh. Does anyone else think that he plays WAY too tight on cash game?

Did feel kinda bad for the guy when Daniel was trying to point out that Phil H may be a 'great' tournament player but he was up against some pretty awesome cash specialists...Phil H tried to blubber around that comment.

I think the best comment about Phil H occurred during the wsop when the pros were asked who should have their own reality show & someone said Phil H & it should be called 'Don't You Know Who I Am.'

I saw this, and man was that comment was funny. Too special and Phil knew it was a dig. Loved it!

Have they aired the episode yet where Phil quits and walks out? I remember reading about an episode where he quits and they replace him with Dennis Phillips.

Hellmuth just isn't very good at cash. Too much of a tourny specialist.

When he starts blaming the dealer for his losses, and asks if and when they are gonna change dealers, really makes him look like a douche.

Wow, that's pretty terrible. People acting like that really irks me. It's one thing if it's some new player who's superstitious or something, but when you play for your job, come on. Seriously.

Hellmuth always wants to play in the cash games BECAUSE everyone says he doesn't know how to play a cash table.

His image is of a tournament specialist and he IS the bracelet leader but as a cash game player he certainly doesn't know when to open up and steal blinds. He plays very tight at the cash games and waits to try and trap players and with the caliber of the players on PAD, that is etremely hard to do.

I do like watching his rants though

i agree. the most interesting PAD cash games and HSP shows imo are the ones with the biggest gamblers, the most unpredictable players. Phil is entertaining at times, but lacks the gamble that makes it fun to watch the players mentioned above.

Phil H. played way to tight and bought in way too low. He only tried to mix it up when he was down to a small stack. He did get unlucky when Phil I. flopped the straight but Helmuth should of got a read on that if he is as good as he says he is. lol Daniel is right in what he said about Helmuth not being of the caliber of the other guys when it came to the big cash games. He is definitely out matched against that lineup. He should stick to his specialty which is tournaments. I don't think Phil H. has the guts to play for a lot of money, he's way to conservative. It was a good lineup and was entertaining to watch but I must say the prop bets was a little annoying. I rather watch these guys play straight poker.

I also watched this a few times during the 2 weeks it was on and noticed that Phil was very tight in this cash game. I find he plays slighty looser during the regular PAD games. Maybe was not wanting to be out played badly.

I haven't watched all of these yet, but from what I have seen so far it looked to me like Daniel was purposely trying to get under Phil H's skin because Helmuth is a walking, talking example of one of those guys who "can dish it out, but sure can't take it." A good strategy, especially in a cash game situation. Also, I suspect that Daniel doesn't have much respect for the guy because of how thin-skinned he is, though I might be wrong about that. Also looked to me like Ivey was privately enjoying Daniel's razzing.

All I can say is it's a good thing Phil H is married to a psychiatrist because he sure seems to be a 24/7 piece of work. That, and his family seems to really love him..
