in really general terms...

1. generally used when a laggy/active player raises and a weak player calls the raise, squeezing is basically reraising/shoving over the raise and call. the caller will invariably not have a hand strong enough to call the reraise, so we're 'squeezing' him out of the pot and are only really concerned about either the original raiser having a hand or someone else who's yet to act waking up with a monster (which is why it's obviously best to squeeze from the blinds). so basically invariably we either pick up a ton of chips without having to show or we get into (usually) an allin situation with a fair bit of dead money in the pot.

2. raise more and call less than at FR - you're up against fewer opponents so looking to set mine is not going to be as effective.

Cheers Chris, especially on the squeeze play.

Unfortunately i already knew that about the pp's, i was looking for more of an overall rule of what to do on the flop after your raise is called in different situations.

Thanks though :D

your best bet is posting some specific hand histories.

i could spout out generalizations like "follow standard c-betting procedure" or "let a lagtard bluff you" but it would all be pretty meaningless.

I was going to, but then i thought ahead and imagined on the basis it was limit, people would just say stuff like, you dont know if you are winning so check/call and noone will try and put villains on ranges etc, so i thought i was better off trying to find some articles.

Cheers FD

There's no cookie-cutter way of playing pocket pairs in limit hold 'em, especially not 6-max. Is this a blind steal situation, do you have initiative, are you in position, what's the flop texture like, etc. And that's even before considering if your opponent is tight, loose, passive or aggressive.

Post three hands where you have a pocket pair and "missed" the flop (in separate threads) and let's have a look at them.
