Interesting question — but I think the premise needs challenging a little.
The best hand to go all-in with isn't always pocket Aces. It depends entirely on the situation — your stack, your position, the stage of the tournament, your opponent's tendencies.
That said, if we're talking pure mathematics — yes, AA preflop is the strongest hand you can hold. But here's the philosophical part: pocket Aces don't guarantee anything. They just give you the best starting
odds. The board, the opponents, and variance still have the final word.
I know this personally. I've been all-in with AA and lost to 9-6 offsuit. Beautiful hand, brutal outcome.
So my honest answer? The best hand to go all-in with is the one where your opponent is already committed, your
equity is maximum, and the fold equity is zero.
Sometimes that's Aces. Sometimes it's a well-timed
bluff with nothing.
