a win is always good and there are always gonna be complainers, usually just freerollers that go all in and try to coast to the money...these are the fools that believe online poker is rigged and the best hand should always win

WTG that's way cool. Actually had I realized there was a 45 seat SnG for a buck, I'd have given it a shot. Even with the 25% entry fee, it looks like a good deal. Looks like it's about $8.55 for second place, and then tiers down to the lowest payout. With some measure of confidence, I'm thinking you can be pretty sure of at least tripling your buy-in. Good deal, even with the sucktacular rake. Greedy bassturds.

Hang in there, keep up the good work. I'm happy for you.

Despite the 25% rake, that seems to pretty much be the standard at the $1 almost everywhere - I think Stars has a $0.20 rake on the $1 tables.

They still collect a $0.25 rake on a $2 game, which brings it much closer to the 10% standard, but right now I feel that would be streching my money a bit too thin. Is there much of a difference in the quality of players between the $1 and $2 tables?

congrats on ur win , I prefer the 2 or 1 tables at the bigger sites , I seem to win more than I lose playing them.

I started to do some more digging because I was a bit afraid to try the single table SnG just because I was afraid of having to get a really good hand early on.

Then I started looking at the payouts

45 seat SnG - 6 seats paid - Top 13% get paid
90 seat SnG - 18 seats paid - Top 20% get paid
9 seat SnG - 3 seats paid - Top 33% get paid

So I've started playing the single table SnGs starting last night. I played 4 or 5 of them last night and only ended up out of the money once, so it looks like those SnGs are working really well for me.

That's cuz your odds are better, but the payout's lower. You don't stand to win as much total from a single tournament. You can always mix it up though. Say for every 5 or 10 wins in the STT's enter an MTT, even if it's just a 40 seater. The smaller tournaments are great because they don't require as much stamina to stay in the zone. They just don't last long enough to take too much out of you.
