How do you know, how good you are at playing poker?

Recently i have being thinking of how to judge my own poker games.

Am I an average poker player or below average?

How can you judge your own games?

Install a poker tracker and analyze your tendencies. Nothing like using real raw data of your own play to analyze your play and plug your leaks.

It's the best way to analyse your weaknesses and other people tendencies too.

I say to myself that I am not a super player. but I can count outs and understand well by combinations and understand a lot about poker and positions. Sometimes when the card fits well for me, I win somewhere in tournaments or in cash games. So I’m a player a little more than average!

I particularly believe that it is never good to measure yourself in terms of quality in some discipline that requires continuous study and a lot of mental strength to succeed. If you consider yourself to be too good, a great player can fall into the situation of stop analyzing and studying, therefore you would stop learning and you would just get stuck in your game and if when you measure yourself you consider yourself a bad player you enter the tournaments or any poker tables with the wrong attitude and not with the mental clarity that is needed to play poker, so I think that in order to play poker it is not necessary to think if I am a good player or bad player the only thing that I think should be done is to continue learning session after session to improve the skills you can have to play poker

By looking at our results over a statistically significant sample I think is the only real answer to this. That can make it tough to know in the short term, which is why it’s so important that we regularly study in order to continually improve our game.

I always follow the statistics especially in the cache. and I understand approximately how I played this or that day .. therefore I consider myself at least an average player!:hmmmm2:

You are a good player when your opponents respect you and avoid playing hands against you.

I thing that it already answer the question:

“Poker is a lot like sex, everyone thinks they are the best, but most don’t have a clue what they are doing!” - Dutch Boyd

I have been playing poker for almost 4 years. This is a hobby for me, so in fact, I play for my own pleasure. But still, I think I am a beginner player.

I can judge myself while playing poker and understand where I made a mistake and where I don’t, in my opinion, I have an average game level of poker.

I'm a below average player who is trying to get better with each tournament that I play in. Poker is a wonderful game as long as you can figure out where you are in a hand.

I always rely on my winning percentage. Bankroll doesnt accurately reflect how I am playing because of the range of buy-ins I usually play.

This is not an easy question to answer. There are so many variables involved and it's all relative to the amount of experience you have. In the end though, it all boild down to either you're winning money or losing money.

I think that the first answer was the ultimate one.
You are as good as the amount of the money you won.
Also important is how many hours, or how many games you needed to get that money.
