when i lived at home, my dad thought I was wasting my time playing poker and that the house always wins <had to explain it was against real people

..then he said I would get shafted by the sharks < told him I was the shark

..never spoke about it much after that...my mum is just happy that I enjoy playing....I now live with my girlfriend and she is fine with it..although when I try to talk about hands or poker theory stuff, she isn't interested and makes it quite clear that she couldn't care less...which I find rather disappointing but can understand it..

that's why I come on here, to chat pokers and interact with a like minded community

my gf has told me to start making money at poker, which brings an added pressure tbh..but even if I never make money at poker, i'll still always enjoy playing for the thrill of it...I love the game.

They are mostly against it my mom thinks it is a waste of money and my dad just thinks it is for recreation. I hope to one day prove them both wrong but until then I will have to keep learning! I know that one day if I try hard enough I can play for a living so I keep pressing on.

My dad doesn't understand it thinks that I'm gambling against house.. My mom doesn't mind it as much as she has began to understand it a little better and seen the amounts of money I have won from it.. Overall I could careless with how my dad feels about it because I often find his way of thinking to be backwards! lol if I ever find a way to control my tilt fallouts and degenerate tendencies.. I will love nothing better than to tell him told you so... Gotta love dads
