I have been playing for 40 years, recreational and bad for about 33 of those years. Seven years ago, I found myself losing 2 buyins regularly and decided to study. I am now profitable, yet self-aware enough to know I am still very much a novice.

My first experience was 37 years ago at my grandmother's kitchen table. My first time in a brick and mortar game was 22 years ago(it was 7 card stud, hold'em hadn't blown up yet). First time playing hold'em brick and mortar was in 2003. First online was around the same time. 2003 was when I started researching and trying to learn the game.
