About 3-4 years not counting breaks from the game, all casual and online. Primarily micro stakes, but in my early days some low stakes mtt/cash games.

I started playing poker about 14 years ago, out of boredom, I played for a year only on virtual chips, because I didn't know about free games for real money, after a while I received a real money reward from the site I had the account and that's how I found out that you can also make money from free games.

I have played poker in some form or other for over 50yrs. (OMG! 50 f'n years!!!)

I started playing once I was old enough to fan the cards out in my hands (my mother would help me prior to that... she LOVED to play poker & bluffing was her favorite part of the game).

I played quite a lot as a teenager but wasn't very good. In my twenties it became a problem for me & after losing a fair bit of money on a new year's eve (jan.1/1987) I quit & didn't play again until 2007. I've been playing recreationally, for fun, ever since!

I just wish I wasn't such a bankroll nit.

I've been playing 20 years plus, mostly as a result of the internet boom for poker, but more regularly in live games of late.

Being involved in a poker league provides more live playing opportunities, as casinos where I'm from (South Africa) are not so big on live poker, more on the casino-versions thereof.

I started playing online at Paradise Poker....how long ago was that? lol. I believe they were the first.

It has been 5 years. I was playing and running so bad the first few years. After investing a lot of time studying and learning from my mistakes, i saw some good results. I thought i can figure out this game by trial and error.

I guess this is how we will all learn...seriously been playing for a couple months now, see where I can make some extra funds by playing in my investing phase now just need to buckle down in my games and make some good calls with my style of betting and reap the results
