As often as you can.
There’s no cooldown on the “one time” request.
Just don’t abuse it so much that the table starts rooting against you instead of for you.

- I have never used a one time, just not the way I roll.

This is like the a*****e at a golf tourney who is watching players teeing off on a 600 + yard par 5, who notice a camera pointed in there direction & as soon as the pro hits his drive yells out, "GO IN THE HOLE". Do you really want to be THAT GUY? Specific to the ONE TIME plea, Everyone knows the poker Gods keep very careful records of when they grant this request & abuse of the request usually results in a truly remarkable run of horrible luck.
