How many people use Poker Trackers?

I would only add that one of my favourite things about PT3 is the graph.

Anytime I go on a downswing I can just sit back and look at my graph and it puts my long term results in focus and really prevents me from tilting.

Yes it does PT3 is awesome!!!

I have an Apple computer, and I run Poker Tracker 3 on it...

I used it on Full Tilt, PokerStars, and Ultimate Bet...

and it has made a big different in how I play the game online... it has always helped me get a better read on players, and their betting patterns, as well as their aggressive or passive style of play.

I wish I could find some tracking software that's compatible with CPS.. but that's been stated elsewhere.

Where can I find info about what the player types like what I see in hand analysis section mean? Like what Sly said 27/9 player? More importantly, what are these stats called? So I can look up info about it myself, sorry I just want to know but I don't know where to look, and like I said I can't use PT software with my current poker room..

Dunno if that makes sense I hope it does.

I find the HUD in PokerTracker3 somewhat annoying. I wish I could change the display options so that the information was to the side instead of usually overlaying on the player information or the cards in game. I've folded a few hands that I might have played because I couldn't make out that I had two suited cards in the hole.

Never used it before ... but from what i can gather if you understand it, it makes your play more easy sorta :|

I prefer to play it by ear if you know what i mean.

I have to agree with Shadow Play. They Aggrevate me. I have trouble with the placement of the Hud Displays. It is a distraction to me, I try to run these but uload them befor the trial is over because of the distraction.

You can manually move this information by right-clicking and dragging the HUD to a better position. And you are also able to configure the display to change its shape if this would help it fit better ie. you could create a thin vertical or horizontal display of stats rather than a big square box.

I used to find the HUD a little intrusive too but after reconfiguring it wasn't long before I barely noticed it anymore (apart from when using it of course!).

liminting the use can be fine for you

100% sure you can play online poker without any additional statistics, especially if you haven't developed yet an optimal method to exploit in your favor all the information that clutters your screen.
At the moment I am using my 2 trackers in a limited way, only to analyze the information during the intervals between my sessions.

That's what I love about the graphs, too. So when I lose a big hand to a terrible suckout, I can look at my graph and say, "Calm down, look at how good you're running. Don't complain."

But I still turn into rageasaurus rex now and then over it.

Thank you, spillage! I figured there was a way to do this, I just hadn't learned how yet. I guess I should have RTFM.

I have never used, seen or read much about this type of software. I would love to know what all of its functions where and anyone tell me where to get tracker software?
Anybody else feel as if they may not trust it though? Sometimes i don't even trust my instict!

You don't trust it to make decisions for you. You trust it to give you some extra information with which to make better educated decisions of your own.

There are two basic functions of these apps (for more detail, visit the vendors' sites and download the free trial):

1. Collects data from hand histories that you play. For every hand you play, the poker sites will send you (you have to say you want it) the hand histories. The app loads all actions by all players in the hands you've played into a database. That data is presented to you so you can see statistical analysis of your game (and the games of the other players for those hands you've played against those players). So you can see, for example, how much you've won over a specific time period, what your per hand winrate is, what percentage of the time you enter a pot voluntarily, what percentage of the time you raise preflop, how often you check raise by street, how often you 3bet, how much you win by hand (i.e., AA, KK, 72o, etc.), etc. etc. etc.

This is useful in analyzing your game and seeing where you're losing money and where you're winning money. Great self-improvement tool.

2. HUD. There's a HUD (Heads Up Display) that sits on top of your tables (for supported sites, see vendor websites for details). This shows statistics for the players on the table, based on all hands that were collected in your database. You can configure the HUD to show the most useful information - as an example, my NLHE 6max HUD shows how often each player voluntarily enters the pot, how often they raise preflop, how often they 3bet, how often they fold to a 3bet, how often they steal, how often they fold to a steal, and a few other stats. I have a different configuration for MTT play, and a third configuration for PLO - the different configs are because I'm interested in slightly different statistics for those than for NLHE.

Unfortunately, HEM and PT3 are not free.

Yeah, if the stats don't mean anything to you and you don't know how to exploit different villain tendencies, the HUD is worthless. Configuring the HUD to emphasize what you do know how to and want to exploit is a good way to go. Or learn what the stats are and how to exploit different tendencies.

Ive just downloaded the pokertracker 3, looking interesting lots of stats.

I hope this is going to improve my game, it looks a bit much i must admit but im willing to try.

I dont Use Pokertrackers but I do use sharkscope and yes it does help ya realize what kinda player you are up against.
