Since pros don't often make it to the final table at the wsop, I was wondering people would like to comment on how many will be at the table this year? What you people think... I say one pro that's it _ danial neg.

Define "pro".
On WSOP 2010 final table there were 8 professional players, and one amateur.

This ^
Alot of spectators don't realize that many of the players are 'pros' (poker is thier main source of income) & instead often consider only the 'well-known' players (ie. ones with lots of tv coverage, sponsorship/advertising, etc.) as being 'pros'.
I'm guessing there'll be 8 pros on the final table this year at the WSOP MnEv.
In case some of you haven't noticed it, there's a thread I started up for the 2011 Fulltilt WSOP Fantasy thing (where you pick players to finish ITM in each event in an effort to win prizes). Here's a link to the thread > https://www.cardschat.com/forum/community-hangout-4/2011-fulltilt-fantasy-wsop-thread-197904/

Make the WSOP Main Event final table and your amateur days are over!
That said, I don't think any true amateurs will make it this year.

Fixed your post.

When Kelly Kim made it to the Main Event final table I'm pretty sure he was the only one that identified himself as an amateur. IIRC the same was the case for Darvin Moon.

Whether the guys that make the final table and call themselves professionals really do play poker for a living or whether they're just broke degens who like to think that they do is another question entirely. But the majority of people at the Main Event final table in recent years have definitely identified themselves as professional players. They're just not ones everyone has heard of.

I seriously admire Daniel Negreanu.

Hopefully he will do well and go at the final table but I don't think that any known popular pro would make it to the Final Table and if he would it would be very hard to win it as he would get all the attention.
