I was wondering how much money other players on these this site make, and whether on online poker or live tournaments, and what format.
You need to be able to make roughly $1000 a month to live on.
I've just started playing online, and have made $450 in the last month purely from playing $4.40 sit n gos which I hope to build on.

poker for rent???

I would assume most of the players on this site are casual players who don't play poker to pay their bills. I know I'm one of these. $450.00 isn't bad but you'll be out on the street pretty quick with that $$$ coming in, just an observation.

I usually only cash out about $200 each month from poker. With all the new laws and such that is becoming hard to do

How can you live on $1K/month? Maybe living in your parent's basement and owning nothing it's possible but outside of that $1K is just not enough.

$1000 a month tax free is like $16,000/$15,000 a year working in a job. Obviously that not a good salary but plenty of people in crappy jobs only earn that or slightly less, and have to live on it.

Winnings are NOT tax free in the US although not sure what you'd have to pay only making 12K/year.

He means that your 65%+ ROI is NOT sustainable, that you're "running good" and that variance is a bitch.
