For some times I already thought that the game was not for me and that I do not have the necessary to be professional, but I never left the poker, I just started to dedicate myself more to the study and to try to focus on obtaining better results, in time I got learn more and get better results, there is still a lot to get to the professional level, but I can already make decisions more rationally in more complex situations, and now I can see myself coming closer to my goals in the game, anyway the game is a distraction for me, and helps me to get a new way of thinking about other subjects, which also to poker, require a further reasoning being necessary to deal with pressure and with risks.

The discipline required for a optimal bankroll control in poker, and how to think about each stage of a tournament, allied to tilt control, and an effective reading of your opponents are qualities that can be perfectly used in any other area of ​​life. I stopped playing on black friday. Just came back to playing a few months ago since I do not care for live play (hate casinos. Slot machines drive me up the wall). I missed it. I found out that its able to be played again so I started again. Granted not at my favorite rooms since do not allow us players.

It can be time consuming; should it becomes compulsive, there might be an issue to address.
From a online point of view, there is a serious level of trust to be invested.

no.....but if u play non stop poker....u will lose more than u win...u can ask anybody about that

Been times I thought about taking a break. Never had I considered quitting the game. Certain times throughout the years of playing the amount of hours you spend is less.

If forced not to play by living in a state that doesn't allow it, really not quitting. Wouldn't consider moving but would just play more live poker.

Every time I don’t cash in a MTT due to some bonehead calling my all in AA with 83o and hitting 88 on the flop, I say I’m done. An hour later I’m back playing and losing again. 😝

i pretty much think about that every bad beat. LOL but than i come right back for thr love of the game

Don't we all! Bad players are the ones to be scared of ....not good players ... as with the bad ones you get the most unbelievable calls!

I had spent more than 3 years playing poker this year, I picked it up again, and now I returned as an ornate matrix.

I'll be honest I always consider quitting when I go through a bad downswing. You have to remember though its just part of playing poker. The ups and downs are always going to be there you just need to be mentally focused when it happens. Sometimes I think about quitting also when I get burned out. During those times I just take a break from poker and come back to it later. There is nothing wrong with taking a break even when you are running really good.
