How would it be if you can give chips to your opponents in poker

I would like it if you can voluntarily show mercy and give one player chips in the table. That would reduce tilt to some extent on the player, and also will encourage sportsmanship in poker.

I kinda understand your point there but in the real world it wouldn't work and poker sites would call this chip dumping and collusion. Never do that if you don't want to get thrown out of a poker site.
Even though people who play poker may not be ruthless the game itself is.

A very strange idea.

The goal in poker is to eliminate players and not to keep them in the game as far as I understand the rules!?

Anything else would be quite manipulative and would not represent a fair competition.

This sounds like a great way to foster cheating and team play.

Most sites already allow player to player transfers.

you can't do this in poker if you get noticed playing a game like this that you give chips to another player, you will be considered a fraud and your victory or another player's victory may not count so don't do this even if you are playing with a friend at the table, you're not allowed to serve

You might wanna take up crib, crazy 8's, bridge, 45's or some other card game that doesn't involve money and gambling. Poker is not for you.

Yes the problem would be about the other players, they wont take that surely, and who knows, they might even team up against you

That is a really dumb idea poker is a game where you try to beat the other players to make money it is hard enough to win at this game without giving your chips away

Very often in private friendly games players do not mind if smb gives a part of his chips to other player just to keep the game going
