Somebody that has the mental fortitude to handle bad beats, being creative in the style of play and being able to handle the bad swings of poker along with tuning out the negative effects of losing money.

Good player for me who never loss the control after bad beaten and trying to save his stack.As I noticed everybody who plays MTT and has a good stack after some period of game lossing more than half of chips(it always happens to me) And good player just waiting for a good chance to come back into the game.

For me, a strong player is one who has discipline and strategy. Play in position and with hand range control. You know the time to be aggressive and you know the time to back off.

someone who is hard to read, not just during individual hands but as a character over all. having many styles and knowing when to use each style. people will try to figure you out but by then you play same hands or scenarios differently so you bait them little by little that way also, not just in individual hands. When they think they figure you out you are playing totally differently so it messes with their psych. Also someone lucky is dangerous player. because of karma you cannot be a bad selfish person outside poker and expect to be lucky person.

You know.. To be a strong Poker player requires the ability to calculate probabilities, having an good understanding of game theory, also logic and being strategic when you need to be and most importantly and I can't stress this enough, its the emotional control or in poker's case tilt avoidance. Controlling Tilt is so hard to master therefore in my opinion is the one quality every strong player has.

A strong player is one who knows how to extract value, keep a growing stack, knows how to take advantage of the position, has a strong mind, bets with truly winning hands and, above all, has a great image at the table.
I have respect for him, but I'm not afraid. If we go to fight, you can be sure that I have cards bigger than him.

A good player is able to see and adapt to the tendencies of his opponents so that he allways has the right strategy to deal with every player type...... but even then he needs to catch a hand from time to time ;d
