I alwayas try to avoid it when playing, lost huge amounts on cash games because of alcohol and I believe its difficult to maintain a high level of consistency when playing intoxicated

Of course it affects us, all the human beings. I would recommend you to not play while drinking or being drunk, it doesn't help you make the best possible decision and it influences your concentration.

When I drink, I play super loose and bluff way, way, way too much. Which almost always results in a loss. Because of this, I only play for penny stakes when I drink.

Alcohol itself has not bothered anyone yet. It is important to guess with the dose. It makes no sense to drink a little, you drink a lot more you lose.

Drinking Alcohol in general is a very bad idea I think. Newer studies have shown it is probably more damaging than crystal meth to your body and mind.

Also it causes cancer and is extremely addicting.

I think it effects everyone, but I never drink during a high stakes game. Maybe one drink in smaller game and a 3 or 4 if playing at a home game with friends. My drink consumption if just going out is four, after that I just feel sick not drunk, so I an not the best person to comment on this.

I played many times after few drinks and IT was good runs , more risky but iam passive player and not to often Play aggresive as after drinks but i really prefer to Play and drink some things :-D

Alcohol in any discipline or sport is not a good ally, in my personal case I have some goals to meet such as quitting smoking, zero alcohol, seeking a balanced and healthy diet, all this thinking about improving my game.
