Whoever says anything, beating an opponent is a class. Perhaps there are people who regret their victory. I don't think there are people like that in poker. And you get high, knocking out an opponent, I think so. Why we are all here and gathered.

A person who is not familiar with poker, seeing the table of contents of this thread, would think that you are a boxer :boxing::laugh::laugh::laugh:

it is because of what kind of tournament you play when it comes to kos then of course you are happy if you kick someone out. But in the other tournaments I don't really care if I manage to kick someone out or not, then just hope that I'm not the one who gets kicked out

My focus is on putting myself in a position to reach the final table & then to win the tourney. Should I be playing in a KO tourney then I am obviously looking for opportunities to isolate & KO an individual opponent, but still the goal is to final table. In a regular tourney I am looking to exploit obviously weak players, but taking advantage of chances to get some off their bankroll is the goal, being the one to KO them is not the goal. Playing poker is a hobby for me, I enjoy the game so if you are the same & taking someone out is what you enjoy go for it, but focusing on that is almost guaranteed to cost you $ over time.

Controlling your emotions in poker increases your stack The success of your game is directly dependent on what emotional state you are in. Depression and fatigue, hunger or excitement - any condition can affect the outcome of the game. Every poker player is dependent on the emotions that the game generates: with a big win comes delight, once experienced, you will want to repeat the same next time. The better you feel, the greater the gain

Of course being able to knock out an opponent is a cool and exciting thing in tournament, if you manage to knock your opponents one by one, you will eventually win the whole tourney, good luck in achieving this marvelous goal.

This is also the idea of the game, to eliminate the opponents in order to be the final winner. I feel good when that happens.

In knockout tournaments, I'm usually glad that I knocked out an opponent, since then you get a reward that goes to your account instantly and you can't take it! As for ordinary tournaments, I don't care whether I knock out an opponent or not, my goal in a regular tournament is to reach the prizes, since only for them you can get prize money, and as for the emotional state at the moment when I knock out an opponent, then I I'm usually not very happy, because I understand that this is poker and every player can run over any player at any time! Good luck at the tables!

Yes I agree. I like to target in on who I perceive to be the weakest and/or wildest player at my table. Sometimes unfortunately this is myself :(

I think targeting the weaker players at the table is just good poker strategy, and will raise your EV over the long game.

Sometimes, against a specific player it is gratifying. Other times just part of the game.

The last hand I played yesterday evening was a killer.

Smallish tourney and I made the final table, where I got AA in the big blind with 4 players left. I said to myself, come on someone go all in...and the first player did, followed by the second and then the third before I went all in myself.

As hoped for, I knocked the other three players out in a four way hand and won.

Now that deserved a screen shot for posterity!

Of course, everyone enjoys winning, and this is probably the main reason why poker is so popular. In fact, every player has a chance to win, but skillful and experienced players will always have the advantage.

I like not just knocking out my opponent, but doing it by luring him into a trap.

When it comes to knockout tournaments, I don't play them very often. In general, I prefer tournaments without knockouts. But of course winning over an opponent is always fun, anyway.

I try to gather chips; knocking out a player means one less to come back and take your chips.

Hi.
I agree with you, it's a great feeling. Each of my victories brings me incredible pleasure, especially when you win due to your own knowledge and experience.
Good luck.
