Its a matter of the discipline.

AA... is no better than any other pair, when you consider that any 7 card game is seldom won with a pair... "you must see a clear win until you go all in"
Now i never follow the advice, but its good advice...

I would need to send you a photo album not a screen shot if I was to show you all the times that I lost with AA ............ especially to people going in with 2 low cards offsuit.

with AA, where I lose 20-30% of hands. I think AA is one of the strongest hands

But, AA is much better than any other pair pre-flop... so you shouldn't be afraid to get your chips in with it. And, its not about how often you win hands with a pair... its about playing the AA correctly to win with it more often than not.

Sometimes, they just aren't going to hold up, etc... but I would say that the mistakes people make most often that cause them to lose with AA are -- playing them too passively (either trying to trap someone or trying to get value, and letting weak hands draw out, etc.) and to not let them go when they are obviously beat. I would guess a lot of the people complaining about always losing with AA are often making those mistakes.

As you will see in the screen-shots, I have played Aces 67 times and lost only 8 of those, in cash games. So the percentages are true in the long run. The thing with monsters is that when you lose with them, you lose big, as you have been pushing all the way, building rather big pots.
