Took my entire br at Stars ( a whoping $1.25 from a CC game) to a $.01/.02 ring and left with $3.52 at exactly 100 hands. I have a screen shot and HH when ever you wish. If not I'll just go back to those tables and build up my miniscule br into enough to play.
Note to self: Play the French tables, they are suckers for any kind of play! Also funny as heck trying to translate the names they called me when I slow played 'em.

I dunno if the rings are required, but I can probably afford to buy in to this tourney if I decide to play.
You know I thought about using an MTT or a SnG as the qualifier. It would be more relevant; after all, we are working on getting into a tournament aren't we. I decided to go with the cash session instead for a few reasons. With a SnG or an MTT, I would have to use something like ROI (Return on Investment) as the qualifier as something like BB/100 would get muddled depending on what level you played to, how fast the blinds rose, how many people at the table etc. It was to complicated.
It seemed to me that sticking to cash games made it alot easier to compare apples to apples, buy-ins, limit, gametype not withstanding.
The other reason was that I want to encourage cash game play. I truly believe that improving your cash game fundamentals is the key to tournament success. I made it 100 hands/100 posts+ to keep out the newbie Hit-n-Runs. I didn't want some 3 poster who I've never heard of to double up with a pair of dueces on his 1st hand and present it as an example of superb poker skills.
Sorry about the long explanation nick, but I must insist on the cash game at this point, just to be fair. But nice going on those 2 MTT's.

Started with 1.25, left with 3.52 in 100 hands making 2.27, BB = .02 (or in my simple math $2.27 divided by $.02 = 113.5 bb's worth of profit.... not close to what pt shows as bb/100)

Exactly. Just take your bb/100 (big blinds/100 hands) and divide it by 2 to get BB/100 (Big Bets/100 hands). A Big Bet is the maximum allowed bet in Limit Hold'em for the last 2 rounds of betting, the Turn and the River. The maximum bet Pre Flop and Flop is of course equal to the big blind. It is common to see the first written as
BB/100 (upper case) and the 2nd as
bb/100 ( lower case) I know it sounds unnecessarily complicated, but this was conventional long before No Limit Hold'em was common.
