Patiotism is not my forte and anti-patriotism is a no-no to me.

if poker were an olympic sport, I will like to play representing my coubtry, but since all olimpic sports, first I will need to compete against other players in my country and then a team representing my country will be able to compete.
I hope I will make the team representing Panama. :boxing:

I would definitely like to participate in these games, and would do my best to get the gold medal.

It is very prestigious to represent your country in any sport! I would be very happy to represent my country Russia at poker competitions.

Obviously not. I think it would be like football in Olympic games.

Hey,

Unfortunately, poker is not considered as sport in my home country, i hope this will be changed in the new government that will take office soon.

I also want to win a gold medal, hoping poker can be included in the Olympics, but the facts are far away

A card game isn't a sport. They tried that with chess in the UK about a decade and a half ago; it was some sort of funding wheeze.

I'm in this for the competition and the Olympics are the highest level for that, so if I were good enough I would love to represent the USA. It would also be one of the few events that isn't separated by gender so there won't be any big controversy when I bring home the gold. ;) They should also be in a gambling town like Vegas or Monte Carlo for poker's debut. :)

This would be interesting if it weren't for the peculiarities of poker, but if the winner is determined in the last hand where some 6-2 outplay pocket aces with relatively equal stacks, will you consider the winner to be true?:)
Of course it would be true because that is a part of the game. Just like if a heavy gust of wind came up for the final shot that would decide the winner of a clay target or archery competition and it caused the shot to miss. There are variables in all sports.

Yes it could be, despite the fact that poker is a mental sport, but I think it is very difficult, that they take it as an Olympic sport, it is impossible really.

Absolutely!

I could use some free trips around the world, paid for by our governments.

I'd even wear a flag t-shirt at the tables.

I thank that Cardschat should make a formal request to the IOC, to make poker a demonstrator event in 2024.

That would set up a permanent status for future olympics.

Sure, I'd do it, except I'm also sure that I would fail every single drug test that they'd give me.
Thanks for legalising almost everything Trudeau. lol.

The strange thing would be that someone does not want to represent their country
