Ultimatums are a terrible method of negotiation/behaviour correction. Only make them if you are committed to following through. If you don't then your word is meaningless

Unless you have gambling problems, for me it does not make sense this type of ultimatum. I can understand if someone is an addicted and poker it's ruining their lifes. But if poker is just a hobby like others hobbies, I would probably chose poker because that's definitelty a sign of a toxic relationship.

Hello everyone!!! This is an interesting and quite relevant question. I couldn't read all the responses, but I think most of them intersect in one way or another – and therefore, I have almost nothing to add. Fortunately, I haven't faced an ultimatum: an unacceptable definition, unacceptable. Firstly, it's unacceptable on my part to let my relationships and my passions lead me to that; no relationship is worth such selfishness!!! And one should choose a partner considering their interests. If ultimatums arise in relationships between people, it means that something is wrong in those relationships!!!!

In my opinion, if you want to live together for a long time, the choice is obvious in favor of your partner,
entertainment should not be in the first place (for me, poker is entertainment), and in general, where there is an ultimatum, it is unlikely that there will be a strong family... You need to find compromises, for example, "I play poker, you do a manicure or haircut."
If you have been given an ultimatum, this means that your partner does not have enough attention and you devote too much time to entertainment.

If she has reached that point it is because you are her first choice, but she also has another one that she is not willing to let go of very easily... I have been with girls without having to ask them to be my girlfriends, they give you the ultimatum when they don't want you that much and she wants you to commit to being with her in a relationship or to go on with her life even if you reject her, which is not bad, I would choose poker, and not because I want poker so much, simply because I don't like that behavior to start a relationship.
