I got a big problem I got into the sunday mill by winning a sat to it, now the problem is I really don't think i'll win it, but I also want to sell it, but for **** sakes I don't want to get robbed in the process also, so what is there that I can do, this player wants 165 for the seat, I think he's robbing me but ****, I want the money not tourney dollars

how much was the sat.? Why not just play it, good opportunity...

when you played the sat. did you say to yourself "I don't think I can win it"?
I hope you play it. Even if you dont cash, it will help prep you for the next time.

You don't need to sell it, when you play future tournaments the entry will come from your t$ until that's gone, not your cash br. I would never sell it for 165.

GL if you play, I'll check on sun. and rail if you're in.

Can't you take the tournament dollars and sell them later? You must be doing pretty well naruto, not long ago you talked about doing the playmoney challenge. I see you're at .50/1 nlhe, where'd you start at?

Play the damn tournament! You never know how the cards are going to fall. Play a solid game, and let the chips fall where they may. This is a good opportunity bro.

dude keep the thread on one topic - if you have a hand for analyzing, post in HA.

There's absolutely no risk in selling T$ on pokerstars. You both enter the amount you're selling the ticket for, and if they aren't exactly the same, the deal doesn't go through. So you settle the price beforehand, then chop it up on PS after with zero risk.

You can get much better than $165 for your 215 $T. I sold 215 $t for $213 a little while ago. There was a trading thread here a while ago but noone really used it, there is definitely one on 2+2, and I sold mine in about 2 minutes there.

oh shit, don't even bother selling the seat for 165, you can get like %99.5 return or something on it.

why didnt you just take the T$ and use it on other tournaments that were within your bankroll?

...well why would you ask for advice and then not even wait for responses and chop your entry to some guy you think is robbing you?

Yeah you missed out on about $30 because you were impatient. How did you even find that guy you sold it to?

....

Why not just sell the tournament dollars to sellyourseat.com or like any of those hundreds of websites that exchange T$ for like 0.97+ to the dollar.

For your $215 ticket you would have gotten like $208-$210 at least.....

Wow $180, you robbed yourself BIIIGGGG TIME.

TBH this was such a stupid decision on your part. You should have played in the sunday million. Not many players get a chance to buy into something as big as that for such a cheap price. You got very lucky and you should of taken advantage of the situation. Yeah the $180 cash is great but wouldn't you rather take a chance of walking away with 100 grand, I would. Isn't that the point of playing poker anyway? Aren't you just gonna take that $180 and invest it into some other tournament? Why not of kept the tourney dollars and invest them in the chance to win something BIG.

ooo well you made the decision. Maybe you might regret it later and maybe you won't but I am just letting you know that, in my opinion, you made a horrible play for yourself. But who knows, maybe you will win BIG win the $180. Whatever happens i wish you the best at the tables. Good luck mate.

That is awful advice. It doesn't matter if you made 215$ from an fpp buy in or not. 215$ is 215$...

Thanks for the tip -- I had not heard of that website before. I would have played the tourney, though, for the experience as well as the opportunity to win some *real* money.

You should have played it
could have slow played solid cards into the money and then played and had some fun with it. LIFE IS SHORT play long and hard. I'm a low baller and would love a chance at that.I wouldn't even tell my wife i was in it! lol

This reminds me of rounders, "You can't lose something you don't put in the middle, but you can't win much either"

Well, now you'll know for next time! There's been a lot of good information posted in this thread.

I think your decision not to play is fine. If you're not comfortable putting $215 on the line, tournament $ or not, you might not play optimally. As someone else suggested, it might be worthwhile to split the tournament $ up and use them for smaller buy-in tournaments you feel better about playing.

Sorry you didn't get max value on the sale this time, but hey, it's $180 more than you had before, so don't beat yourself up about it. Learning experience and all....

All I can say is the next time you satty into this and don't want to play, just use it for tournies.
You seem to be doing quite well on the tourney circuit and the T$ would have served you well.
