Got to observing the end of the PS VIP Gold Tourney tonite #62400975. Just wasting some time on a Saturday night.
Down to 4 players, someone called for a split. From there, some agreement, some bickering, one guy raising the hand right before the moderator was going to stop play. (everyone got on his case) While the moderator was figuring numbers, more bickering, so no split. The guy who raised was the guy deciding against the split, and became the guy out on the very next hand. lol
So now 3 decide to split, no problem, based on chips. (they may have decided to give some extra to the winner, but i don't think so....i was busy trying to do the math, too) NOW, do these numbers provided by the moderator look right to you???
Actual: First, $16250, Second $9150, Third $ 5300 Total = $30700
Total Chips in play: 6337500
Unidrabe 1322419 chips (20.87%) - $8388.25
Scudd 2462305 chips (38.85%) - $11050.23
thePirat 2552776 chips (40.28%) - $11261.51
By my calculations, I have them at:
Unidrabe $6407.09
Scudd $11926.95
thePirat $12365.96
Even doing the easy math, Unidrabe had about half of the others. But neither Scudd nor thePirat noticed or complained. I actually spoke up once play resumed (only that the numbers didn't seem right) but no one responded. Maybe $900 either way is no big deal to those guys. But I know I wouldn't trust the math to some PS help desk guy.
It was fun to watch the end of the tourney and see the split scenario. Maybe some day I'll be splitting thousands of dollars. lol

My figures have both at %40, $1k less than the actual, and the low stack about $2k too much. Probably should check PS website to see.
