This whole business about gambling hearkens me back to the prohibition era. In a way playing online poker is a lot like going to a speakeasy when Alcohol was verboten!
When I deposited via Western Union I had to obtain, from the website, the name and country of someone I didn't know. Trust and send my money off into cyberspace in hopes that it would end up in my account at the site. Kind of like needing to know the password to get into the speakeasy.
People are being forced by the Government to do things like establish identities in a non banned State in order to gamble. At the same time the Government sells Lotto tickets like candy in every one of those States.
Is there not something hypocritical about that?
Our Government, in essence, is forcing people who have been law abiding citizens their whole life to be clandestine in their efforts to seek recreations, that I believe our Founding Fathers intended to be part of our freedoms, in a manner that certainly, at times, makes one feel like a criminal!
