"Irrational" favorite hands

What is that hand combination in NLHE that is just one you have trouble getting away from, even though it is not an optimal hand in many/all situations? Kind of like Doyle Brunson's 10-2.

Mine is A6. All because in one of my early poker games I folded A6 (totally correct move for my position, etc.) and the flop came AA6! For some reason that stuck with me and I seem to have this special weakness for that hand.

I have to believe that a lot of folks have similar favorite hand combinations. What is yours?

i am having a really hard time folding QQ, and with AQ, lets say an A flops, and whoever i am playing against, i am always scared of AK.

Mine used to be J8 before I joined here, now it is not close to being in my range. (unless I am playing ring with a friend who used to give me a hard time about the hand, then I have to see a flop because I love showing it to him if it hits, which most of the time it does not.)

AQ on an A high flop.

Also, I overrate QQ, always class it with KK and AA but it's so much weaker. Most of the time you're just flipping against AK.

That's good, didn't find one with the first keyword I used either...but this thread definitely has been repeated, and it always gets locked as it becomes a spam magnet.

For some reason which I am not quite sure why, I have a weakness for the hand QT. Ever since I started playing I just liked that hand and have stuck with it.

I have an affinity for 7s,9s. Don't know why. Usually do pretty well with it. That's probably why.

For some reason I just cant get away from pocket 10's. I think its cause the last hand of one of my 1st live tourneys i won with it.

Pocket nines for me. This hand flopped so many sets it's ridiculous. Even if the 9 doesn't come on the flop, quite a few times it will land on either the turn or river. I remembered well a hand in NL5 where my 99 cracked both KK and AA as the guy with KK cold-called the 3-bet from the AA dude, allowing me just the right odds to see the flop. Flop came 9xx rainbow, three of us were all in on the flop, and my hand held up. One of my better moments in NLHE cash

JJ in early position.

It used to be AXs but I learnt to get away from those.

As I started here it was KJo but I don't know why anymore - maybe because of "Kingjackoff" ?

96 suited, and 107 suited. super system made me believe these hands are better than suspected because you seem to always get something from them, even if it is only bottom pair or an inside str8 draw

Going through hand history early on AQ was a loser for me. Probably the two cards that raise my eyebrows when dealt. As far a favorite hand (irrational or not), don't have one. Think it was here I read it, (giving credit to someone who said it, just don't remember who) and still rings true, "don't marry the hand just date it." Since then it been easier to let go of hands in certian situations, AQ being one of them.
