I am pretty interested in watching this match. I am glad to see that one of the old guard, Daniel Negreanu, has realized the skill of many of these young guns in the game today and has decided to embrace their knowledge and become a better player. I would really like to hope that he can compete with Isildur, but honestly I think he is still at a disadvantage with multi-tabling against a pro who does it for a living. Let's hope Daniel knows what he is getting himself into!

I disagree. I think he has an uncanny ability in live play. I watched for a couple of days throughout a tournament, one that he went to go on & win (& had him sitting at my table) & I'd say his live reading abilities are pretty intimidating.

I'm not sure exactly what you watched him do, but I always saw DN talking as more of a magic trick. And by that I mean it is just a trick. Obviously, it is done more to intimidate and get people to not bet and things more than getting tells.

Yeah. Daniel will even use simple conversation to extract information. For example, "How about this weather?" He has said he can gain information this way. Watched him on the PS Big Game and he asked the loose cannon a ton of questions about his days of racing cars. Like Daniel cares? lol
