Playing poker is a state of mind, rest and focus on certain situations are valid. In my case, when i spend a few days without playing poker, when i go back to the game, i notice an improvement.

I think that in a week or a month it is impossible to forget all that you have learned. You can relax if necessary.

Skills that are earned during the game is difficult to lose because each player has his own strategy for the game which he adheres to. And breaks they are necessary not to lose interest in the game!!!

Of course, if a friend, it's best to take a break from the game, but if you are stressed. Valuable lessons can be reviewing the while not playing, but you can not forget your style of play, hope I helped.

Rest is necessary. I took a break in 2 weeks and did not play poker. Now I feel again the desire with new forces to enter the game mode and the desire to win. A break is needed, but not very long.
Although during the break - i read some important moments for me in the game.

Your fear is quite justified, after a week it is difficult to return to the optimal form and after a month and even more so. Can you recommend a play through day two, which would reduce the amount of stress.

It's ok, you need to recharge especially after straining your head.

Golfer's do it all the time.

Take a break of 1 or 2 months, if you then do not pull in poker, then this is not your game:)

I think its very helpfull for you to take a break from time to time and do different activities. You kinda reset your brain for a short term..you'll see things different when you come back on tables..
Good luck

Of course not can be, and need. From just need to rest, and poker is no exception, I think a few weeks of rest won't hurt, and then with new forces into battle.

You should take regular break or perhaps you just need to play less. I find the right ammount for me is 3 times a week. If i play too often i find myself enjoying the game less and making bellow par plays.

Sometimes, a break in poker is necessary. There is nothing extraordinary about this. In my opinion, it is better to take a short break than to play poker without enthusiasm.

Shouldn't be a slave to any entity. There is no reason to play if you are not mentally into it. Snap off a Slim Jim and take a break.

Of course it's ok to take a break in any type of activity. Sometimes you have to refresh your mind. It can be helpful.
When you are on a break, you can learn more about poker. It's never enough knowledge, I think.

In poker it's like a job, you have to take a break as you take a vacation at the workplace, then you get back with fresh forces and with another game.

I think it's an important part of a regular schedule of grinding to include time for R&R too. Especially if you are on a downswing it can help you keep a level head coming back to the tables.

If you need a break , no need to worry , just do this and you will come back stronger . I don't believe at all that stop playing for some days/, 2-3 weeks , affects your gameplay , your poker capabilities and skills . On the other hand , if it's a really very long time , most probable you become a little rusty , but if you begin playing and studying your hands , everything will go back to normal sooner or later :)

def need to take breaks, if only just to relax. but when on a downswing or tilted you have to realize it and take the time to adjust and get back to basics

If you're asking, then you probably need a break. :) You'll probably jump right back in if you only take a week off. If you take a month off, you'll probably feel a little anxious at first, and a little rusty, but once you're playing in your session for a bit, you should be good to go.

Taking a brake is great way to refocus your goals and review what is working for you. Just lounging ahead with heavy thoughts can give you bad results for the session or longer. A brake can give your head a chance to clear.

A break will do you good. It might even help you play better because you won't be so stressed.
