Preflop pocket jack's are a very strong hand as only 3 others are better. The problem with Jack and even better hand like aces is that post flop people wont play them smartly. Unless they inprove they are just one pair. They are a good hand but vulnerable.

JJ is definitely not AA, KK, or even QQ. Especially knowing that A, K and Q can already fall on the flop, and then a huge number of combinations A, K and Q will become stronger than JJ. Therefore, in fact, a pair of JJs is no better than 1010 or 99, which only become really strong when the board is right.

The pocket pair of jacks is quite a strong hand, but I get the impression that it has a curse and often loses even as a 3-to-1 favorite. I remember even when watching episodes of the world series of poker, the commentators thought the same way))

It is arguably the most difficult starting hand to play.

1. You probably have the best pair pre-flop. But AK, AQ, and KQ will rear their ugly heads, often. And even Ax, Kx, and Qx can be problematic.
2. When you hold JJ, 57% of the time, an overcard will flop. For QQ and TT, it's 41.4% and 69.5%, respectively.
3. You will win a showdown with Top Pair about as often as you will win with a Set or better.

I call jj, the dreaded jacks on the grounds that you have to defend them.
All the pockt pairs are gut wrenching as even AA can be beaten easily.

I’ve never heard of any superstition per se but pocket jacks are often complained about by many players. Jacks don’t seem to hold up against smaller pockets as much as aces or kings imo

hahaha it's good that the truth here in mxc says that the worst hand is QQ that if there are more than two on the table they don't play it but we also say that 7-4 is not thrown that is the best winning hand ever hahaha myth or legend and won more hands with 5-4 than QQ hahaha greetings JJ they are worth it they come out a lot on the flop

Well, I´m Brazilian, I play poker over 17 years, and I don´t consider JJ underdog, I treat it as a small pair because this is what JJ is, and a small pair you play as a small pair.

I lost with JJ in my only Sunday Million that I have played , first or second hand , 20bigs , overplayed it , you have to be carefull with QQ or worse , many KK or AA wait in the corner for your bad move . When my QQ loses to KQ or my JJ to JQ I feel funny

I thought that I only lost with JJ, hahaha, JJ's pair are more likely to lose more than any other pair, it is difficult to understand how this pair, they tend to lose more than any other, I have even come to do JJJ- and I lost, because it so happens that with the other J they make me straight, these are things that only happen in online poker, although I have seen it live, but the vast majority that lose are in online poker rooms.

I don't have a superstition about a LJ pair, but I won't play it until I see the flop.

I think by folding [J][J] you deprive yourself of the opportunity to win additional chips) Do not think that this card is weak just because there is a superstition about it. Even [A][A] can't always win. And sometimes he loses several hands in a row.

It's depend about your position. I find it funny that so many people treat JJ like pocket 3s, but the same people treat pocket 9s like AA. For me JJ is same problematic pair than other pairs

TT and JJ are always tricky to navigate. If the opponent calls your 3-bet/4-bet, they will mostly have overcards and overpairs.

When you look down at JJ one must be sure of where the players in front have done, if anything, and go from there. If you're on the button and facing zero bets, then play them like you would any nice pair. Opening w/JJ from early to mid-position is usually going to be a standard raise of 2.25-3x the BB. If you're called and an A hits the flop, then go ahead and bet. You'll know after that whether they're good or not.
If you bet and get raised pre-flop while holding JJ, then it's all about stack sizes and whether yours is capable of surviving a race. GL.
