Job App/Poker?

Anybody ever put "poker player" on a job application? If so, how did you put it? If not, how would you put it? Should you put it on there at all?

On a job application or resume (for a job that you really want) you would generally only put information that makes you an attractive candidate for the job. I'm having a tough time trying to imagine a job where being a poker player would give you a competitive advantage over other candidates for that job.

IMO you're better off saying you're "self-employed".

ya no kidding..they might think self employed would go hand in hand with the dealer thing..drugs..lol

It would definitely not be a smart thing to do for 99% of the jobs you might apply for. And just putting self-employed won't work either - a good interviewer will want to know the details of that.

..but leaving a big hole in your employment history will also cause a good interviewer to ask for details...
