I've played half as many hands as I did all of last month in 4 days! Losing 9 buy ins in 2 sessions is a good way to motivate yourself :p

thanks man, i appreciate that

yeah i've still got a heavy cough and get feverish/fatigued a lot, and the antibiotics prevent me from drinking, etc. but taking some time off from my friends and from partying gives me more time to grind well and clear bonuses, and i get to spend all my time by myself so i can do more reflection/reading/browsing forums

Welcome to my level. ;)

Though as one of CC's few singletablers (or sometimes 2) it might be a while before I make anything much past gold. ;)

First hand i thought the over shove would maybe look like a bluff, looks like a weird line but i've been paid so many times before doing this at the micros, it's not an amazing hand but the 2nd hand happened literally 4 hands later and when he called the flop i decided to take exactly the same line, the river scared me b/c he could have had AJ but it worked, and i honestly think he would've paid with just the 2 as well after the hand where i had quads :D I feel like a poker genius lol

Not really a fan of set mining OOP against a LP opener especially with an UTG limper yet to act.

Nice result though! :)

Yeah I hear ya, I just had my first losing session in 2 weeks last night and I ended up playing for about 4.5 hours trying to get unstuck. Lost AA<KK 3 times and KK<AA once for stacks everytime. Eventually won it back and was up at about the 3 hour mark, but of course I was too stupid and tilted to just call it a night so I grinded another hour out to tilt away back to -4 BI's again....arghh:( . Only bad part about running good for an extended period of time is often what should be a - 1 BI session multiplies to a -4 BI session of tilt because you think you cant ever lose! haha...I still have lots of maturing to do as a poker player:rolleyes:

Not sure if anyone here has been following this but Stars and FTP checks have been bouncing left and right over the last 4 days. In addition popular deposit methods such as echecks are suddenly no longer available. Naturally, for the first time in months i received a check yesterday from stars and cashed it but was told an hour ago (5 hours after my email in to stars) that it should be fine:

Thank you for your email.

I have reviewed your account and can confirm that the check you received is not one of the checks affected by this current issue. Therefore the check will clear as normal.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Best Regards,

Martin
