KD, if you're rolled for shots at 50nl, I'd recommend just playing 25nl until you're used to cash and then moving up to 50nl. You're wasting your time at 5/10nl and it's causing you to pick up some bad habits because the dollars mean nothing to you.
thanks WV, yeah Im gonna get some volume at 25nl(when I say volume I dont mean like you lot of crazy 10-tablers, putting in the hours, my volume is 2 tabling 25nl for an hour here and there) till Im comfortable with losing/winning at that level(hopefully winning) and see what happens, I'm real comfortable with 5nl/10nl at the mo, though.

In other news, played small league live game last night, 2 tables of 6 players, top3 get money. First time I've played this league, so was donking a bit. Guy on my right was sh*t, and was talking up his poker prowess(I think he had a small dick) so I was pushing him off hands al night, showed him 84os after 4-betting him, etc, trying to tilt him(he was loudmouth). Anyway, one hand, he's sb, Im bb, everyone else folds, he raises to 3xBB, oh, we were deep, blinds at 50/100, I had 9000 chips, he had 6000, so anyway, I look at QTs, and think, let's see a flop, so I call, flop comes 89Jrainbow, for my nut straight. He bets, I reraise(had been reraising him all night), he shoves, I snap-call. He shows QJ, for top pair and gutshot, I show my straight, and turn and river are blank for him. He stands up and calls me a c*nt, and offers me outside, ffs. I laugh and say, ffs mate, it's a £10 freezeout, f*ckoff out of my face. we're both stood up, sizing each other up(I hate fighting, particularly over a hand at poker) but will defend myself if needed, his mate comes over to calm it down, my mate(6ft tall and looks like a nutter) stands next to me, thinking the other guy is gonna join in, but it all gets defused by tournament director(landlady of pool hall where it was held). He stormed off for 10 minutes, but did come back and apologised for his behaviour, and shook my hand, lol. And nothing more was said. In the end I came 6th of 12, cold deck, but it was great fun. This guy who lost it, I hope he's there next week, gonna raise him all night with ATC, just to see if I can tilt him again, lol!
Funny old game, poker, brings out the best in people!
