My ex-wife subscribes to Kevin Smith's Twitter, and he sent this out the other day:

Producer/Director of Clerks series of movies (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back) as well as Clerks II and Zach and Miri make a Porno. He's done some acting also.

We just watched "An evening with Kevin Smith" which is some standup comedy of his at various colleges. He is one of the funniest story tellers I think I've ever heard. If you get a chance, check it out. If I get a chance, I'm checking out his SnGs!!!

How does anyone not know Kevin Smith? Do yourself a favor Dakota and rent Clerks (watch it with the kids since it's about a billion times raunchier than Family Guy). Clerks is without a doubt my favorite comedy. I've watched it countless times.

Looks like he does suck at poker though.

Yeah love this guy clerks 1 and 2 and his evening with series are my favorates, I used to read his blog he started with Ultimate Bet after Jason Mews (Jay to his silent bob) got him on to it.

Full tilt should advertise him playing there they probally get a few extra players!!

Wow didnt know he like to play poker. Kevin smith is one of my favorite directors. I would say for me personally he is up there with Quentin Tarantino as very creative and unique. Wow i would luv to play a sit n go with him. I will keep an eye out from now on to see if he is on. Thanks for the heads up. Also isnt is production company askew view production. Kinda cool how askewsme is his screen name.

Amazing - He is such a talented actor/director/producer. I see that talent helps him little at the tables.

I went to a talk he gave. He was booked for 90 minutes, and stayed something like 5 hours. Afterward he offered to buy-out a movie theater so we could wall watch the latest Afflek movie (Changing Lanes) and be free to yell and taunt and cheer without disturbing people who wanted to pay to see it.

I knew he plays poker, and has a custom poker table in his house. He also has a custom blackjack table.

This thread needs some balance/negativity. His movies are *pretty bad*, but its nice to see a famous donator at the midstakes instead of highstakes.
