I have no idea of the total number. Over the course of the past five years I've played more than 160 tournaments in Connecticut, Nevada, and New Hampshire. Aside from one with only ten entrants there have always been numerous other women at the tables.

I believe that in some cases girls do better than men because they are more attentive and make more coherent decisions under pressure!!

I dont have any "real life" poker friends either male or female. If "know" just means knowing, that they play poker, then its obviously different. There are a number of female members of this forum for instance. But overall women make up a fairly small percentage of the total pool of poker players. This is common knowledge and apply to both live and online poker.

I have no idea how many women I have played online, the avatar is not a reliable source of information. I have played many cash and tournaments live in poker rooms and casinos all over North America and have seen women at other tables but I have never played them. At the private local level tournaments and cash games they are sharks! Very aggressive and knowledgeable players. I think more women are turning to poker as a "on demand" source of entertainment. At any rate, more is better!

Where exactly do we know poker girls on the forum? In real life, or at all, I know a lot of girls who play poker but I know very few girls who play poker very hard, 3-5 but they are very good at poker at a high level and for a very long time so there are girls like that in poker but why do you need this information? :I CAN'T laugh: you're looking for a life partner, a girl who plays poker

I'm a woman and I play poker. Plus there are many good players here on CC who are women. When I play in my live league, I would say that about 20% of the players are women. And, of course, there are many female poker pros. Why are you asking the question?
