Playing at tables is better than playing online; online games are controlled by time and the players who have placed bets.

Live poker is much enjoyable and fun for me , play whit the computer is every single time much harder ...

I think live games are still generally softer at the same stakes, especially at lower limits. Online players get exposed to much more volume, tracking and study, so the average regular is usually more experienced. That said, live games can vary a lot depending on the casino and table. The biggest difference for me is probably the number of recreational players and the pace of the game.

In my opinion, an offline poker player should have greater skills and abilities than an online poker player. He is a more versatile player and can play both offline and online. In turn, a player who constantly plays offline will immediately find it difficult to play online, when he is constantly under the watchful eye of his opponents.

I still think live poker is generally softer than online at the same stakes, even with all the study tools available today. Online players get far more hands in, can use tracking software, review decisions and study solvers, so they tend to develop faster technically. Live games move slowly, and you often find recreational players who are there mainly for entertainment rather than to maximise their win rate. Of course, not every live table is easy, especially in tougher casino games, and online low stakes can be very soft too. I’d say the difference is less about everyone being a genius online and more about the average live player having less experience and playing more intuitively. The biggest challenge live is adjusting to different player types and avoiding assumptions based on a few hands.

In my opinion, live poker has a wider range of skills that you can explore. Get more into the field of poker and player psychology.

I find it more entertaining, and challenging in a different way than online poker.
I think it’s less of a learnable skill than the online game.

I have only played online poker so far, and I really love it because of the speed and convenience. Online games allow you to see a huge number of hands and learn the math of the game much faster. However, I am very fascinated by live poker. Watching major live tournaments on stream makes me want to experience that real casino atmosphere, read physical tells, and hold real chips in my hands one day. For now, online is my main playground, but playing a live event is definitely on my bucket list! What was your first live poker experience like?

Actually, I've only been playing online, when I was young, I played live with some friends, at home, it's fun, you joke, win or lose, it's always joyful.

I think live poker is generally softer at the same stakes, but I prefer online because it is more convenient and I can play more hands in less time. Live poker is more fun socially though, and watching people in person adds another part to the game. Both have their advantages, so I think it depends on what kind of experience you enjoy most.

I think live games are still generally softer at the same stakes. I’ve played online for over 20 years, and having study tools available doesn’t mean everyone actually uses them. Online players can get through far more hands, which gives them more opportunities to learn.

The stakes comparison can be misleading too. $1/$2 is often the starting point in a casino, so it attracts beginners alongside experienced players. Personally, I’d pay more attention to who’s sitting at the table than assume a game is easy just because it’s live.
