There is no set rule that one is easier than the other. A good online player could be terrible at live games and a good live player could be terrible online. One big difference is that most of the time, online will play quite a bit tighter than live. This is mainly because those live players feel really bored if they aren't in a hand. When you're only seeing 30
hands an hour, you want to be in them all(at least that's their mindset).
As far as your home games being easier. That's probably because your friends suck at playing poker. Many home games might be a hell of a lot harder than casino games. Some people find home games easier because they can feel calm because they are around friends. Others find it nerve racking because they don't feel comfortable taking their friends money, whereas in the casino, it's just a stranger, so it doesn't matter.
