That's probably because your friends suck at playing poker. Many home games might be a hell of a lot harder than casino games. Some people find home games easier because they can feel calm because they are around friends. Others find it nerve racking because they don't feel comfortable taking their friends money, whereas in the casino, it's just a stranger, so it doesn't matter.
