One hour or so at a cash game ... I folded like 90% of my hands and left with a profit of one dollar twenty.

What a waste of time.

And the worst thing to boot: I had run out of any alcoholic beverages on that day.

If I sit down at the cash table, it means that I don’t have time for the tournament, so I sit no more for participation, playing in the tournament I sat for 6-7 hours

If you try grinding live for a living you have to go a lot of hours. I went 8+ hours on a regular basis back in the day. Weekends, forget about it. Arrive Friday afternoon around 4pm at the casino and go to Saturday morning til 4-5am in the morning. Go to sleep, get back to the casino around 1-2pm Saturday afternoon and go til 4-5am Sunday morning again. That lifestyle is not fun. That's when most folks play so you gotta be there. Friends and family get it but that's when a lot of folks want to get together and have fun but you gotta tell them you're working, lol.

And yeah I'm talking about being at 1 table.

I remember a few years ago at pokerstars it was like 10 hours, final table and the tournament started in the afternoon and ended at dawn the other day, at this time the maximum I think has been about 6 hours

The longest I played at the same table was 2-3 hours in the finals if we take tournaments. Constantly moving from one table to another

I think I've played for over 18 hours at Rivers Casino in NY. I started around 6pm and then there was 2 foot snow storm and we could not get out. I was not at the same table though as tables closed and we combined smaller tables. I kind of consider that as counting. I don't remember how I did.
