Hey everyone,
I've been away for a few weeks and haven't played any poker since my father passed away.
I've noticed that I just don't have the same desire to play anymore, and honestly, I don't know if or when that will change.
Has anyone else experienced something similar after losing someone close? Did your interest in poker eventually come back?

Please accept my sincere condolences! All pain eventually fades, but the memories remain... After the death of loved ones, there comes a time when you step back from everything to take it all in... And then life goes on...

Im very sorry to read this news Omar and please accept my condolences. Its very common to lose interest in activities - such interests may return in time or not - but for now, take care.

I'm really sorry for your loss. ❤️ Don't put any pressure on yourself to get back to poker. Losing someone so close can change how you feel about the things you once enjoyed, and that's completely understandable. Take all the time you need. Poker will always be there if and when you feel ready to return. Wishing you strength and peace during this difficult time. 🙏

I am so sorry for your loss. I think it is completely normal to lose interest in things after losing someone so important in your life. Don't force yourself to play just because it used to be something you enjoyed. Take your time and focus on yourself and your family. Maybe the motivation will come back naturally one day, and if it does not, that is okay too. Poker will always be there when you are ready. Wishing you strength during this difficult time.

I'm sorry for your loss Omar and know exactly how you feel I lost my dad a few years ago. My condolences too you and your family. As said above I think it's completely normal to lose interest in poker or other hobbies. Such things just don't seem important after such a lose. I think you'll find in time your passion for poker and other hobbies with return. After all I'm sure your dad like mine wouldn't want you to quit or give the things you enjoy. Take care and take ti one day at a time poker isn't going anywhere and will be here when you're ready and feel like getting back at it.

Cheers!!!

I think it's completely normal to feel that way. It's a difficult situation, and you have my condolences. Give yourself some time. I think that will show you whether poker is really something you still want to continue with, or if that spark doesn't come back. If it doesn't, just keep moving forward with your life.
