Lucky days or days of courage?

Some days we practically managed to dominate the opponents in a very natural way, and with the help of luck we won, but others we were nothing more than medium blinds and a near victory that suddenly turns into a defeat. Can anyone explain this? Is it normal to be like this?

Variance in Poker, especially in MTTs are extreme sometimes. And how sharp your brain is on a certain day depends on a lot of internal and external factors: sleep, diet, emotional state, etc.

Already a good banch of replies. Just to add my 50 cents:

- Already spent 8 bullets to qualify to Day 2 of Mystery Bounty $2.50 on ACR. That makes $20.00 spent without qualified for Day 2 (2 weeks remaining to increase this number, hehe)
- Today played Freeroll satty for $0.11 ticket, then won $0.55 ticket and after that $3.30 ticket to end up like Total Winner in the end:

I see aggressive bad players getting folks that know what they're doing to fold hands and they think they're "dominating" then another big stack comes to the table and they try all those silly moves on the other stack and they get booted out.

These folks that think they're "dominating" because they're up in chips and doing well when they're really playing very, very, really bad.

I don't need sharkscope to know what they are.

That's a famous illusion of poker especially nl games to give that image that folks are doing well when they're up.

Until you know the games and the numbers and strategies or have a long track record of results then I wouldn't assume to "dominate" a table.

A little picky post, I know, but not trying to be mean but to give folks something to think about.

If you play every day, you'll get used to it over time. There are really days when everything comes in, days when nothing, and a combination of these. Nothing in life is predictable, not even what kind of day we have.

Well, it's called luck. Of course, a lot depends on luck, but not everything. But on some days, yes, you will dominate and beat your opponents' strong pocket pairs, and on other days you will lose to weaker hands with those strong pocket pairs. You have to take it for granted and accept the fact that you won't be able to win high spots in tournaments every day. Again, this is normal and natural in poker.

Yes, it's called variation. Sometimes you have a good run, sometimes not. All poker players go through this
