Everyone watching the main event? Who do you guys think is the favorite right down? Almost down to the final table/November 9.

I wish this was on in the UK. We got the Poker Million now. Hansen, Benyamine, Seed and a couple others playing. Jorgenson is KO'd as is Joe Beevers.

Matt Affleck just got booted from the main event...that was so brutal. AA against JJ. Goes all in with the lead and Duhamel calls with a gut shot and open ended straight draw and hits an 8 on the river for a straight to knock out affleck

Yep...that's 2 pocket aces busted tonight. Affleck though lost it afterwards. Then again I know no idea how I'd react if I knew I could have coasted in to the final table. And I know I would have gone AI with AA.

Not sure how how smart it was just calling the 3 bet instead of 4 betting him preflop.

yeah that was brutal, hard not to go all in there. It was definitely the right move. So Oil, you're saying you would have gone all in preflop with the aces?

I think he should have def 4 bet him pre-flop, But I don't think that he was going anywhere anyways....

That's a hard one to say. You have a great chip stack but going AI preflop puts you at risk... but you have AA. Knowing me, I'm going to try to take the hand before the flop hits. I'd likely go AI when that last bet hits preflop instead of just calling. But then again that's easy to say when I've already seen the hand. And it's not my chips at risk.

Yeah, and it's not down to the final 11 players at the main event. It was definitely the right move by Affleck. Just a tough, tough beat

Yeah but that's like recording a football game and getting the score before you watch it. If ya know how it's gonna end then why even watch?

You know that some of us preferred to not see a spoiler and watch it on TV. But it's over now....heh

Of course its been done for awhile, but it's not exciting to watch if you know who is going to be knocked out or not knocked out. Anyone on here ever played in the main event?

Is it still on right now? What channel is it on? I should be studying, but I can keep one eye on the tv and one eye on my notes...

november 6th the final table reconvenes. it will be streamed live without hole cards on espn3 with commentary. or you can simply wait for espn to air the edited version nov 9th.

I'll be watching online for sure, because I know if i visit CC between the 6th and the 9th, I'll see someone with the title of a post like (INSERT NAME HERE) WINS MAIN EVENT OMG!!!!

Then in the post everyone will remind OP that spoiling is wrong, but it would be too late...

er... anyways, im watching on the 6th.

personally, i think its better to watch w/out the hole cards bc you can get in the player's heads to understand why there making the play they did...just my take on it though haha

thats exactly what i was thinking? how do i stay away from spoilers until ESPN shows the final table and it gets on torrent so i can see it.

last year freaking pokerstars screwed me, i logged in to play and boom, commercial: joe cada wins main event, i was like FU i didn't want to know that.

so, do i really have to not log in any poker related site until november 9?

I thought the November 9 had been decided for a while by this time last year? Wasnt it like 2 months after we knew who were playing that the actual final table play started?
