I was wondering the best way to play a total maniac.

Playing in a 9 handed SnG last night we get down to the bubble. I am sitting in 2nd place when the Maniac (Chip Leader) showed himself for the first time.

Every hand he went All-In, eventually causing one of the short stacks to call. He turned over 9,6os, Shortie had K, 8d. A 9 is flopped and Shortie is out. This continued every hand until we were HU.

I won a couple of AI's were my small pair, A-rag held up against his junk and we ended up with him on 6,900chips and myself on 6,600(ish).

I had pocket Q's and went All-In. He called with 6,3os and managed to get 2 pairs out of the 5 community cards.

Is there any way to play this type of player or just go with everything and hope the cards fall right.

You have to wait for a good hand to take down this maniac. You're pocket Queens move was good, you just got unlucky. The way this maniac plays, the odds are in your favor when you call him with a good hand.
